Eirofer CR is the first controlled release iron preparation manufactured with unique and patented tri-layer technology by S.I.I.T.S.r.l Italy, who is the inventors of liposomal technology. Eirofer CR contains three different molecules of iron placed in three different layers in a single tablet. The first layer, the fast layer contains ferrous bisglycinate, which is released in the first five minutes in the upper part of duodenum.

The second layer, the intermediate layer contains ferrous sulphate and vitamin c which is released in two hours of ingestion in the duodenal transit. The third layer, the retard layer contains microencapsulated ferric pyrophosphate, released at the initial part of jejunum in four hours of ingestion. Eirofer CR contains 30mg elemental iron, 10mg each for each molecule. There is no gastric side effects while using Eirofer CR.

Kazein forte contains milk calcium which is protected by Casein Phosphopeptides(CPP). As calcium is protected by CPP, the interactions are far fewer. Here calcium is absorbed by active and passive transport. Casein phosphopeptides (CPP) bind calcium and therefore protect it against precipitation with anions such as phosphates in the small intestine.

The net result is an increase of passive calcium absorption in the ileum. There is no effect of calcium inhibitors as calcium is protected by casein phosphopeptides. The availability of calcium for bone mineralization appears to be greater for dairy foods and the effects are longer lasting. While using Kazein Forte, the inorganic phosphate intake is increased which leads to decreased urinary calcium and increased calcium retention.
